Are the TSA scanners a public health threat? We are starting a thread to discuss this. The Bureau of Transportation statistics estimates 621,000,000 passenger trips will occur in the US this year. Many of these are repeat passengers. Some people have jobs that require quite a bit of air travel. The choices seem to be either a radiation scan of the body that reveals genital areas or a full body pat down where genital and breast areas are physically touched by airport security agents.
